It acted as a wedge to help prevent the runner from collapsing in while also moving the runner forward. The Wave Inspire 19 reimagines the shaping of this design altogether and moves it forward into the future. The shoe remains unique in its field as one of the few moderately cushioned, high-drop stability trainers with medial support.
